Al's Trip's Photos. Forth lot.

The border line between Canada (left) and USA. This is a cut line that extends over the hill and off into the distance.

Looking towards the south and Canada. The vastness of the place is amazing.

Us ice fishing. Unfortunatly, the camera had no batteries, so this is a little sad. The lake is basically a big circle, with us about 100 yards off shore. The thing below the people on the right is a jetty. The holes were in a big square, with (L-R) ML, John, Deb, sled and Tom standing.

Driving towards the Canadian customs post and Beaver Creek behind it.

Dressed up in Coharts overalls ready to go ice fishing. These things are heavy, but warm. L-R John, Al, Tom. The chimney on the far left exits the house and keeps going for about 3 feet, where it just stops.

Example of the Alaska Highway. It extends all the way along the mountain range on the left. It is cleared to about 50 m each side of the road in most places. The centre line is a bit vague.

Another example of the highway. There is no real centre line and you just make your own way as best as possible. it only becomes a problem when the semi's come along. The white stuff is not really ice, just compressed snow. It's not to bad to drive on, except where its melted and turned into ice.
