Temple Basin

A day walk for Kath and I to test out our new ice axes and crampons.

To get there, the turn off is on the north side of the west of Arthurs Pass. Heaps of parking and a bench track lead up to the lodge, where a steepish walk goes up to the top basin and onto the col.

Unfortunatly, as the photo's will soon show, it was a miserable day with the weather really closing in on us.
